ReIgnite The DREAM RALLY
Tyler Together was honored to sponsor a “Reignite The DREAM” Rally on Monday, August 28th at 6:30pm at the Tyler Downtown Square. A commemoration of the 54th anniversary of the March on Washington where Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. delivered his famous “I Have A Dream” speech.
About the Rally
This rally to remember his speech and rededicate our efforts to make his inspiring words a “Reality in our Local Community”.
Sometimes, the Fire starts to dwindle and the embers start to glow a little smaller, but there is still a smoldering Fire underneath.
Recent events across our nation including our own local discussion concerning the possibility of renaming a local High School have thrown a “Little Kindling” on the Fire and awoken a lot of passion.
Our Speakers Included State Senator Bryan Hughes and Tyler Mayor Martin Heines who read a City of Tyler Proclamation declaring August 28, 2017 as “ReIgnite The DREAM” Day.
